Casemiro Filter housing Knitted filters

Tovenco’s filter housing is used as our standard choice when designing kitchen hoods. The Casemiro filter housing can be equipped with knitted wire mesh filters that have effective grease separation, can handle high flows and with easy maintenance.

Construction

The casing is made of stainless steel sheet quality EN 1.4301 non-magnetic, with welded bottom part, otherwise spot welded. The duct connection is for round duct but can be obtained for rectangular duct on request. A damper is available for adjusting the air flow. The filter cassette is easy to remove for cleaning. Under the filter housing there is a drip tray for collecting grease.

For wall mounting, the filter housing is supplied with a single row of filters.
For center placement, the filter housing is equipped with double rows of filters.

Knitted wire mesh filters

The knitted filter separates grease from the air by condensation. A thicker filter cartridge has a higher capacity to retain grease and is therefore suitable for higher airflows compared to a thinner version. The pressure drop varies depending on the filter status and increases as the filter becomes dirty. The specified design pressure drop is in practice a trade-off between filtration efficiency, capacity and pressure drop.

Knitted wire mesh filters are available in the sizes:

• Filter A 5033: 500 x 330 x 50 mm
• Filter B 5033: 500 x 330 x 25 mm
• Filter A 5050: 500 x 500 x 50 mm
• Filter B 5050: 500 x 500 x 25 mm
